Using the Live View Function

Changing Settings on the Live View Screen

1 Click [LV].

The live view screen will appear.

2 Click the item you want to modify.

The settings of gray items cannot be changed.

1	[MENU] Shows the camera menu in live view. Not all functions are possible. The item is not displayed when not supported by the camera. Switch to single display (1 screen) when operating the menu.
2	[White Set]
3	[AF Area Display] Displays the AF area position. The item is not displayed when not supported by the camera. It does not work with Auto Focus Mode settings that constantly display the AF area, such as 1-Area AF.
4	[1 Shot AF] Adjusts focus by temporarily enabling Auto Focus when using Manual Focus.
5	[Level Gauge]
6	[Grid]
7	[Guide Line]
8	[Sheer Overlay]
9	[Histogram]
10	[Zoom In Scale]
11	[MF Adjust.]
12	[Zoom] This does not work when not supported by the camera.
13	[Live View Rotate]
14	[Live View Quality]
15	[Aspect Ratio]
16	[Preview]

[White Set]

Getting started: Set [White Balance] to a setting that allows you to use the White Set function ([], etc.).

1 Click [White Set] to display [].

2 Click the part on the live view screen that you want to specify as a White Balance setting.

The part will be specified as a White Balance setting.

[Grid]

1 Click [Grid].

2 Click [].

[3 x 3]	Displays a grid consisting of three columns and three rows.
[2 x 2 + Diagonal Lines]	Displays a diagonal grid in addition to a grid consisting of two columns and two rows.
[Customize]	Allows you to set the number, thickness, and colour of grid lines.

3 (When [Customize] is selected) Click the desired item to change its setting.

4 Click [] to close the window.

[Guide Line]

1 Click [Guide Line].
2 Click [].
3 Click the checkboxes of the guidelines you want display.
4 Click the icons for the desired guidelines to set their positions.
5 Click each item to set the thickness and colour.
6 Click [] to close the window.

[Sheer Overlay]

You can display images on the PC as an overlay over the live view screen.
Only one JPEG or RAW image can be displayed as an overlay.

1 Click [Sheer Overlay].

2 Click [].

3 Click [Browser] to select the image to use for Sheer Overlay.

4 Click [Open].

The image will appear over the live view screen.

5 Enter the level of [Transparency].

Set the transparency level of the image to display as an overlay.

6 Use the mouse to move, magnify/reduce, and rotate the live view screen image.

You can also click the desired item to change its setting.

7 Click [OK].

The live view image and the overlay image may be displayed slightly misaligned with each other.

[Zoom In Scale]

Click the desired icon to zoom in/out the screen.

You can move the magnified area by dragging the image on the live view screen.

[MF Adjust.]

This item is available only when [Focus Mode] is set to [MF].

Click the desired icon to adjust.

<<	Shifts the focus to a farther position quickly.
<	Shifts the focus to a farther position gradually.
>	Shifts the focus to a closer position gradually.
>>	Shifts the focus to a closer position quickly.

Hover the cursor over and click and hold the icon to adjust continuously.

[Zoom]

This item is available only when a supported motorized zoom lens is attached.

Click the icon to operate the zoom.

W	To zoom to the W side (wide-angle, take wider pictures).
T	To zoom to the T side (telephoto, take larger pictures).

Hover the cursor over and click and hold the icon to adjust the zoom continuously.

[Live View Rotate]

Click the desired icon.

	Rotates the live view screen to the left by 90°.
[AUTO]	Enables/disables the automatic rotation function. The function rotates the live view screen automatically so that it is displayed in the same orientation as the camera.
	Rotates the live view screen to the right by 90°.

[Live View Quality]

Click the desired icon.

[FINE]	Prioritizes image quality for display.
[STD.]	Displays standard image quality.
[LOW]	Prioritizes frame rate for display.
