Here is the parts list for my new quiet but powerful digital audio workstation. At rest it is so quiet that I must put my ear up against the case to hear it running! I understand that under load, the video card can get quite noisy, but that won't happen when recording audio.

  The system is turning off every few minutes; there is no blue screen, it just suddenly stops. Trying an older video driver.
